Founded in 1902, The Pilgrims has stood at the heart of the transatlantic alliance for more than a century – a society where leadership, vision, and fellowship converge. Born from the conviction that good personal relations lead to better public decisions, The Pilgrims remains dedicated to strengthening understanding between Great Britain and the United States.

A trusted forum for dialogue, connection and collaboration, The Pilgrims is proudly social in character and forward-looking in its outlook.  Bringing together thinkers and leaders from public life, business and the arts, The Pilgrims forms a dynamic community with a collective opportunity for impact.

Pilgrims of the United States

The Pilgrims of the United States was founded in New York in 1903 shortly after The Pilgrims of Great Britain had been established in London to facilitate closer contacts between Americans and the British.

The Pilgrims of the United States and the Pilgrims of Great Britain both stand expressly dedicated to the common bond among English speaking peoples, and all others of good will, who espouse the supremacy of fundamental human rights, including freedom of speech and expression, freedom of worship, freedom from want, freedom to enjoy a healthy, peaceful and secure life where the arts can flourish, equal justice under law, and freedom from fear, everywhere in the world.
